The name Marin was for Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling, whose name's kanji means "sea and dream". Marin in Zelda is spelled with katakana in Japanese to dictate the western pronunciation of the name - which is surprising because "sea and dream" fits Link's Awakening so well!!! |
